Faucet has a defect

We ordered this faucet because it was the best match for our main faucet and it looks great. However, we had to pay a plumber to install and when turned on it splashed water everywhere instead of a steady stream. We first called Faucet Depot and they said we had the pressure to high but we changed pressure and did not help. They finally admitted that there used to be a piece inside that kept the water from splashing but they removed it because it kept getting clogged. We had to have the plumber come out a SECOND time ($$) and they put something inside that helps but still it is not a steady stream. When I was looking for this faucet I noticed several stores had discontinued it and I am sure that is why, perhaps Faucet Depot should too.
